case outside
this is a normal aluminum tool case, 45.7x33.0x15.2 cm.
case outside
It seems to be made of an aluminum framwork with boards between them.
The boards (which I think is plywood) are covered with aluminum on the outside and rubberish foam on the inside.
inside
case open;
normal ATX PSU (cheapest I saw - 400W. Modded with a Papst fan and the other fan disconnected...)
MSI K7N2G-IL (I really wanted an Asus A7N8X-VM, but the one they sent me had a broken LAN adapter and TV-out and they sent me the MSI as return) - which is a very practical motherboard since it has everything (LAN, VGA, tv-out support, USB, firewire, sound...). I put a cheap Athlon XP 2400+ on it.
Two disks (these are 40+120Gb leftovers)
the elastics and cpu cooling
All gear inside is fixed with elastics, mainly because it was impossible to stick anything else to the case and because it's cheap, but it's also practical, it silences vibrating stuff a bit, and it protects them when the case is transported...
The elastic is superglued (cyanoacrylate) to the case.

HSF is a normal Zalman 6000-cu with an Enermax fan on top.
passthrough and holes
These is a closeup on the cable passthrough, which I put rubber flaps on to protect it from (big) dirt when travelling, and the air intake holes.
